Unit Description

A dementia specific unit/floor and a secure unit for individuals who wander. Royal Ottawa Place has a designated 16 bed unit for those over the age of 65 who have a diagnosis of dementia. The residents in the unit receive services and programs specific to address their strengths and limitations.The nursing and personal care staff on this unit have experience, a special interest to work with these residents and the support of PIECES trained staff to assist them with residents' behaviours.
