The program is approved by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities. Upon successful completion graduates may find employment in long term care homes, retirement homes and community based programs.

The area served is very broad, as the program is offered online through distance education throughout Canada, as well as in the classroom at the Woodroffe Campus of Algonquin College in Ottawa.

Population Served

The graduate certificate program is designed to increase competency and skills in caring for those with dementia. It will be of particular interest to those at a post-diploma, post-degree level in the health and social service field.
